Nouran Gohar (Egy) 3-0 Hana Ramadan (Egy) 11-6, 11-4, 11-7 (25m)
With Hana, we played the final of the U15 British junior open, that was about 10 years ago, and before that, the U11, U13 matches… Not to mention all the finals of the Nationals…
We are the exact same age, it’s nice in a way to play someone you are familiar with, we are good friends, she is very nice as well, it’s comfortable in a way you know it’s going to be a fair match, clean, it makes you calm when you get on court. You just try and play your best, not arguing with the ref nor the player.
But you just don’t know how to warm up, it’s freezing inside, so it will take forever for you to warm up, but if you go outside, it’s so hot you’ll die! It was a bit confusing for me to warm up today!
We played with Fayrouz in the worlds actually, she is one of the up-and-coming players, with the support of her coaches, nothing to lose. I’ve been getting used to it now, all the players having nothing to lose against me. It’s weird, I used to be the one up and coming, it’s always the case in life, isn’t it..
I’m very happy with the way I’m playing right now, so we’ll see.
