We’re down to the last sixteen players in each draw, with Round Three again to be held over two days – lunchtimes at the Squash Complex and evenings at the CI Capital Arena.
Sobhy sinks Massaro as Farag survives against Diego
There was just the one upset in the day’s play as Amanda Sobhy ousted seventh seed Laura Massaro in the opening match of the day.
The afternoon session saw one American, two Kiwi and one German winner while the evening matches produced four Egyptian victories as married couples Ali Farag / Nour El Tayeb and Raneem El Welily / Tarek Momen won in contrasting styles.
