“I feel really happy. Playing Gawad in my first match here was really tough, so I had to be focused from the first rally and I’m happy I did that.

“He’s beaten me the last couple of times in March and April, so it’s very recent. I think I didn’t play my best squash in the last two matches but he played really well. I prepared well for this one and I’m happy I played well.

“He’s really tricky and we all know that! He’s been World No.1 and World Champion. He just got to the final of the World Championships a couple of weeks ago. He’s really tricky and I’ve played him a lot of times so I’m happy I played well and didn’t get into too much trouble.”
